Please excuse my lack of posting this week. As I’m sure you’re aware, I’m moving. And trying to prepare for radioactivity. I can’t figure out which one is more insane.
However, I woke up this morning after a good night’s sleep and declared it would be a good day. Someone sure listened, because my bridesmaid dress came in today for my friends wedding, I bought a much cheaper than normal plane ticket to Oregon, and….. I found out that I got into GRAD SCHOOL!!
I am so excited. I cannot wait to be a student, this time with more insight, knowledge and determination for my studies (vs. undergrad when I majored in how to chalk a fake ID and attending basketball games. You know, priorities.) I know those of you currently in school might think I’m insane, but I really can’t wait to write a paper again! So nerdy.
This isn’t my first foray into acceptance and applications. It’s just my first time actually planning to go. I’m sure you’ll hear more details about the program and my future plans in weeks to come.
Just not this week. If you need me, you can find me wrestling with packing tape and wondering why the heck I have two copies of Coyote Ugly.
Any tips for this future grad student?!!

Congrats, Erin!!! I loved grad school…I miss it very much at times!!!
Congrats! Grad school is so much work but really worth it. Time management is key, and you don’t need to do all your reading either.
Congrats, Erin!! So so so happy for you! I never thought I’d say this, but I would consider going to grad school. Isn’t it funny how being a student gets exciting once you’re not one?!
CONGRATS! This is great news!
I’m on the edge of my seat to learn more!
Congrats, girl!
Congratulations, that’s so exciting!!
Congratulations! Definitely figure out which classes you need to read for and which you don’t – it’ll save you a ton of time that will keep you sane.
Congratulations! Where are you going?
Let me know if you have any questions at all! My advice is to take each day one at a time. As you would with anything, I guess. Yay!

HAPPY DANCE! Lots of fun adventures ahead!
My tips would be:
1. don’t go it alone — find a way to make learning fun & social
2. make sure you have an outlet. I had a regular Thursday fun night that got me through many a bleak week!
3. engage w/ your peers & faculty early and often (side benefit: it’s so much your fun when everyone knows your name!)
So freaking exciting Erin!!!
Yay!! Congratulations Erin!! That’s such exciting news! I would LOVE to talk to you about this, since I recently graduated from a master’s program…and am in the area, obviously (does this mean you’ve actually moved even closer??) So much to talk about – I think we need a meet up more than ever!!
Congrats again! I’m so excited for you!
Erin! that is so awesome!! Congrats on Grad School and all the big changes – all good things!!!!
Congratulations!!! xoxo
